A Home Inspection is:
A great tool to help you make an informed decision when buying a home.
A valuable asset when you are selling a home.
A performance-based inspection rather than a design review.
A representative sampling of the thousands of elements in a home.
Focused on the important visible items that might affect a typical buyer's decision. For example the structure, roof, heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Focused on big ticket items, but we do notice small stuff. We include what we see as a courtesy but please understand, the small stuff is not the target.
Conducted by generalists with a broad knowledge; we are not specialists.
Designed to reduce your risk, not eliminate or assume it.
A Home Inspection is not:
Invasive or destructive.
Able to predict the future, or see through walls, carpets, storage, and furnishings.
Able to identify intermittent problems. New roof leaks are hard to determine without rain.
Intended to identify every problem in the home.
A design review of the structure, mechanical or electrical systems, for example.
A code compliant inspection. It is not likely nor necessary for resale homes to comply with all current codes.
An insurance policy with a one-time only premium, no deductible, no exclusions, no limits, and no expiry.
